This self-portrait is part of my Tempestades series and represents one of the first contemporary paintings executed on historic mantelillo, a distinctive fabric once used as a painting support by the Old Masters. The mantelillo was meticulously handcrafted in Spain by textile artist Javier Sebaste, reviving a centuries-old material tradition within the context of contemporary painting.
